9/11: Inside the President’s War Room is now streaming on Apple TV+. The 90-minute documentary looks back at the actions and decisions made by President George W. Bush and his staff in the first twelve hours after the attack on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania (intended to fly into the United States Capitol). It is a sobering look back at the events on September 11, 2001.
The documentary was released yesterday on BBC One in the United Kingdom. Today, it lands on Apple TV+ worldwide with the exception of the U.K.. There, it will be on BBC’s iPlayer streaming service.
The documentary features interviews with President George Bush, Vice President Dick Chaney as well as then National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. The film also discusses how the 9/11 attacks led to the United States war with Afghanistan and Iraq.
The September 11, 2001 attacks remains the single deadliest terrorist attack in history with 2,977 fatalities and over 25,000 injured. It is also the single deadliest attack for firefighters with 340 deaths, and law enforcement officers with 72 deaths.
