The service also brings access to premium online publications like theSkimm, The Highlight by Vox, New York Magazine’s sites Vulture, The Cut and Grub Street, and Extra Crunch from Verizon Media’s TechCrunch.
This new service is available starting today. It part of the iOS 12.2 update and the macOS Mojave 10.14.4 update which will release later today. Once you have those, you can sign up through the Apple News app. It is $9.99 per month in the US and $12.99 per month in Canada. It will be expanding to the UK and Australia later this year.
The bulk of this new service will not look new to Texture subscribers. The Apple purchase made last year of the magazine subscription app & service is the foundation for News+. Apple has simply rolled it into the exiting News app with a dedicated tab to get to it.
While the service is $9.99 per month, the first month of service is free so you can try it out and see if it is a good fit for you.
