As expected, Apple has officially dropped sales of the iPhone SE and the iPhone 6s. The news will certainly be disappointing for those that love the 4″ iPhone. With the release of the iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr, the Cupertino company announced their currently available devices to buy along with new pricing.
It will start with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which will start at $449, followed by the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Those will start at $599 for the smaller of the two phones.
From there, you will move up to the new iPhone Xr, Xs, or Xs Max. Along with the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s, last year’s iPhone X has also been dropped. This was widely expected.
As it stands, the minimum entry level iPhone will now be the iPhone 7. You can get go up to the iPhone 8 lineup before moving into the iPhone XS and iPhone XR phones.
The iPhone 6s remains one of Apple’s most popular and sold iPhones with many hanging on to them well beyond the normal two year upgrade cycle. Indeed, the 6s was a work horse and was the first to introduce the thin design we see in the iPhone 7 and 8.
As for the iPhone SE, what is there to day? The 4″ iPhone, based on the original iPhone 4 design, has been hugely popular and many people have them as a backup phone. Many are already lamenting the fact this popular phone is no more.
