With 16.0.1, Apple has fixed some bugs, bringing the iPhone 14 lineup’s official build as 20A371. These types of one-off builds for new devices are not entirely new for Apple, but they are rare.

The iPhone 14 lineup will likely stay on the .1 build until iOS 16.1 is released and synchronizes versions across all eligible iPhone models. iOS 16.1 Beta 1 was released yesterday and is expected to be released next month along with iPadOS 16.1. That update brings a large swath of updates and feature improvements including Clean Energy Charging and Live Activities support.
Apple customers who were able to order their new iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro last Friday should start receiving them tomorrow. Apple released this update in time for those customers to be able to set up their new devices without any issues.
