Apple Seeds Beta 4 of iOS 16 to Developers

This morning, Apple released Beta 4 of iOS 16 to the Apple Developer community. The update comes three weeks after the release of Beta 3 of the next version of iOS for iPhones. The company also released Beta 4 of iPadOS 16 at the same time for testing on iPads. The update is available now for registered developers but it has not been released to those in Apple’s Public Beta Program. That release could happen as soon as today but likely will be tomorrow.

The new beta carries the build number 20A5328h and at the time of this article, Apple has not released detailed notes on what if anything specific that is addressed in the updated build. As with most beta builds, it is likely focused on stability and bug fixes. It will also incorporate any feedback from developers as well as public beta testers to this point.

In reviewing the latest beta just before this article, no new features or functionality was found in the new beta but any discoveries will be added to this article later.

On the whole, iOS 16 will be bringing a slew of new features and improvements to the platform. You can check out a wide range of preview articles here on the site by following this link.

iOS 16 will be available later this year, perhaps as early as September, from Apple. It will for any iPhone 8 or newer.
