Quick on the heels of iOS 12.1.1, which was released last week, Apple has seeded the firs beta of iOS 12.1.2 today. The new build is only available to developer testers currently. Those of you who have devices registered in the Apple Beta Program will have to wait a bit longer to get it.
The new beta was released a short while ago and as is normally the case, the release notes provided by Apple provide little clue as to what is in the update. For sure, iOS 12.1.2 is going to be a bug and maintenance update release. That said, Apple often adds small features or makes tweaks to the releases that are not documented until the actual release of the build. Still, the key thing to keep in mind is that this is a maintenance release.
As for when we can expect to see 12.1.2, it will likely be January 2019. Generally iOS beta builds are released once per week with anywhere for four to six beta builds. Doing the maths, that puts us at on the outside of the window the week of January 20, 2019. That, of course, is an estimate. If a show stopping bug is found, it could take longer before the public gets the update.
