ESPN has rolled out a new update to their iPhone and iPad apps, bringing support for Apple’s SharePlay feature. The update, version 6.65 for those keeping score at home (see what I did there?) allows anyone running this new app and iOS 15.1 on their iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, to use the features across their devices.

For those who don’t recall, SharePlay allows you to watch the same content with friends and family over FaceTime. You can binge those shows together even if you are on opposite ends of town or the country. With this update, you can now watch live sports, ESPN+ originals, and other content on the app with friends and family on FaceTime. Note that both you and your friends or family will need to have the ESPN app installed on their devices.

The app and much of its streaming sports are free to use. For some content, like ESPN+ Originals, you will need to have a subscription which starts at $6.99 per month. As sports network is a Disney owned property, the company offers bundles with Disney+ and Hulu for one low price. You can go here to get more details.
