Evernote, the popular note taking app, is the latest to be updated with a Dark Mode option for MacOS. The update, which brings it in like with the Dark Mode of MacOS Mojave, has been a much requested feature for the Redwood City, California company to enable since the release of Mojave.
I, for one, have been waiting for this feature and went so far as to Tweet my request. As one who spends a majority of their day in Evernote and is a fan of Dark Mode in Mojave, this is a happy day indeed.
If you have Dark Mode enabled, once you update to the new version of Evernote, it will automatically be in that mode for you. You can, of course, manually switch it to light mode if you want.
What is great too is that the company went a step further. They also added Dark Mode to their app for iPhone and iPad. On this devices, you will need to enable the feature by going into Settings on your profile.
Beyond the Dark Mode, there are a few other tweaks and bug fixes in the build. Even if you aren’t a big fan of Dark Mode, these fixes make it will worth the few minutes to download the updates to your Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Evernote starts at no cost for you to use it on up to two devices. If you want it on more devices or want more robust searching and collaboration tools, the Premium account is $7.99 per month. You also get live support at the Premium tier. For more details on pricing, follow this link.
