Now that the new iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max are announced, Apple has updated the pricing structure for these two new phones.
iPhone Xs (5.8″)
- 64GB: $999
- 256GB: $1149
- 512GB: $1349
iPhone Xs Max (6.5″)
- 64GB: $1099
- 256GB: $1249
- 512GB: $1449
Both of these new iPhones will be available for pre-order starting on Friday, September 14th. Shipping and general availability will start on September 21st. They will both ship with iOS 12, which will be available to everyone starting on September 17th.
The iPhone Xs has a Super Retina 5.8″ OLED display that renders at 2436×1125. That comes out to a 458ppi display. For the Xs Max, you have a 6.5″ Super Retina display. That gives you a 2688×1242 rendering at 458ppi. Both devices support HDR and Dolby Vision.
Powering this is the new A12 Bionic SoC. It is the first 7 nanometer processor on the market and has 6.9 billion transistors. It has 4-core GPU that is 40% faster. It has a 6-Core CPU which can runs 50% faster but is 40% more energy efficient. Coupled with this is the new Neural Engine which has 8-cores (over the 2 from the A11 Bionic last year) and is designed with dedicated machine learning and smart compute functionality. The A12 Bionic can perform an eye watering 5 trillion operations per second.
