Good news for those of you who order your groceries on Instacart. Now through March 27th, if you pay for them with Apple Pay, your delivery charge is waived. All you have to do is select Apple Pay as your payment option in the Instacart app.
Instacart is supported by a number of national grocery stores including Aldi, HyVee, Sprouts, Safeway, and City Market to name but a few. If you haven’t used the app, all you do is shop in the app at your local grocery that supports it. If you place a minimum order of $35, your order is free. Basically you can get anything that the store carries through the app and it is delivered to your doorstep. It makes shopping easy and takes one thing off your errands list each week.
Promotions like this one with Instacart are not new to Apple Pay. Apple routinely runs these types of promotions to get people to use the service. If you have setup Pay on your iPhone, you should be getting emails outlining new promotions like this one – unless you’ve opted out of the emails. It is also a good idea to check in the App Store to see the apps that are compatible with Pay. Finally, if you are at a retailer and see if sticker that they accept Google Pay, they also accept Apple Pay. The technologies are the same on both pay services.
