Control Center has grown up a lot in the past few years. Introduced in iOS 7 back in 2013, the quick actions feature has become more detailed and customizable as iOS has continued to mature. Not only does it give you access to the basics on your iPhone or iPad, it can now be configured to meet your needs more quickly through widgets that can be added to it.
To be clear for everyone, Control Center is accessed by swiping up on your iPhone’s Home screen or by swiping down on from the clock on your iPad in iOS 12. By default, you can swipe up even from within an app to access it too. Customizing of Control Center is a quick and easy process that you can do through the settings on your device.
First, go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad and scroll down until you see the Control Center option. Tap it and this will open up the feature’s settings. Now tap on the Customize Controls option. This will bring you to a list of all of the widgets that you can have in Control Center.
If you have items in Control Center that you want to remove, just tap the red delete icon next to them and they will drop down to the bottom section of the page, More Controls. To add an option, go to that More Controls part of the page and tap the green plus icon and it will be added to your Control Center. Further, you can use the item holder to the right of it and drag the controls up or down on your list to customize the location of them in your Control Center.
Once you are done, close out of Settings then swipe up to see your Control Center. You should now see your controls you’ve added and in the order you have sorted them in on your iPhone or iPad.
