Instagram has a new update rolling out that is specifically aimed at the new iPhone XR and iPhone XS Max. The update brings native support to the new 6.1″ and 6.5″ iPhones, so you will be able to see slightly more content and it will be more crisp. Prior to this update, on the iPhone XS Max, the social networking app was more-or-less a scaled up version to fit the larger screen. That works but it isn’t a clear and clean on the text.
Of course, the iPhone XS is already supported given that the iPhone X was supported natively after its release last year.
If you don’t have the iPhone XS Max, version 65 of the app is still available for everyone. There isn’t anything new for you necessarily in the update but it is there for you. In version 64, Insta introduced the ability to send GIFs in direct messages in the app.
If you don’t have Instagram installed on your iPhone, you can download it from the App Store. It is a free app and, since it is owned by Facebook, you can use your Facebook credentials to log in and get to sharing.
