With the first pre-orders of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lineup being delivered today, Apple continues to see slippage of delivery dates in the Apple Store. Virtually configurations of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max now have delivery dates in mid-to-late October, a month after the initial release. It reflects what analysts have indicated – demand for the new iPhones is strong.
In surveying the Apple Store, the iPhone 14 has the best delivery dates in nearly all configurations. In most cases, you can still get it this month in any color and with any storage size. Of course, the iPhone 14 Plus won’t be released until October 7th, which only applies to the standard iPhone 14.

When it comes to the iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max, things get grim. In nearly all colors and storage configurations, delivery is from October 14th to 21st. Even on the high-capacity configurations of 512GB and 1024GB of storage, configurations that usually are not as constrained face the same delivery times.

Analysts expect that demand for the iPhone 14, particularly for the Pro devices, will remain strong for several more weeks and it is unlikely that these delivery time slippages will shrink in the near future.
If you are looking to pick up a new iPhone 14 today and did not place a pre-order, your best option is likely to visit your mobile carrier. AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others will have limited stock and configurations available for purchase. You can also try your local Apple Store, but demand could also be high there.
