It took a little longer than many expected, but the new iPhone XR has exhausted launch day supplies. The new 6.1″ iPhone launches on Friday, October 26 and according to the Apple Store, shipments of orders for the new phone placed now will not ship until the first or second week of November.
In additional, in-store pickup of the iPhone XR is no longer available either, indicating that what little stock Apple has of the iPhone in their stores will remain for walk-in customers to potentially pick one up. If you decided to try to do a walk-in purchase, do not be surprised if storage size and color options are severely limited.
That said, other retail partners of Apple like Best Buy should have supplies available starting this Friday. Also, carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon are all expected to have a variant of the phone available for purchase.
Early reviews of the iPhone XR have been positive and analysts expect that this phone will be a strong seller for Apple throughout the remainder of 2018 and into 2019.
As a reminder, the iPhone XR starts at $749 for the 64GB storage model and goes up to $899 for the 256GB model. There are five color options to choose from on the phone: Black, White, Product (RED), Yellow, Coral, and Blue.
