Apple has sent out invites to the press and media for a Apple Event on March 25, 2019. The event’s title is “It’s Show Time”, giving the strongest suggestion yet that the upcoming Apple TV streaming service is going to be announced. The event will be held on the Apple campus at the Steve Jobs Theater.
The invite, along with animations in it, suggests that the key focus of the event will be video streaming. Apple has been courting many Hollywood production houses and actors for their streaming service which is going to include original content. It is unclear when the service will actually launch, with most suggesting it will be April before it is available to consumers.
While there is no mention of it in the Apple Event invite, it is possible we will see other services announced. The most likely of these is the expected Apple News subscription service. It could simply be a footnote to the Apple TV service – or may simply not be mentioned at all. It is also possible, but unlikely, we will see a mention of a revamped iPad as well as an iPad mini at this event. After all, those devices are used largely for video consumption from other services like Hulu and Netflix.
