The Life Cycle Activity Donut

Life Cycle App Update Brings Improved Trending Reports to Your Activities

The outstanding activity tracking app Life Cycle has a new update rolling out this morning that brings a new Yearly report and improved Trending reports.  The update is in the App Store now and if you have the app installed, you should have the update ready to download and install.

If you aren’t familiar with Life Cycle, it is a great app for tracking your activities and time you spend doing activities.  It presents this information in a donut, letting you see just how much time you are spending at work, home, sleeping, or other activities.

The big news in this update is the addition of the Yearly report.  If you have been using the app for a while, you will now have the ability to see your time and activities for the year, adding to the day, week, and month views already in the app.  Given that I’ve only been using Life Cycle for a few months, I still have about 150 days before the Yearly report will generate for me.  If you don’t see it, you’ll get the familiar prompt that the app doesn’t have enough data yet to produce the report.

Secondly, the trend reports are now streamlined and much easier to view.  When you go to the Trends tab, you will now see a list of your activities.  You can then tap on any of them and get more details about your time and trends for that activity.

Finally, the locations tab has also had a solid makeover in this update.  When you tap on that tab, you will get a list of all of the locations you have been since you have been using the app.  You can then tap on a location and get more details about your activities there and time spent.

If you like keeping track of how you are spending your time or like statistics around your activities, Life Cycle is certainly one to keep in mind.  It is $9.99 per year and there is a 1 month free try so you can check it out and see if it is for you.

To download the app and start your trial, just head to the App Store.

A full review of Life Cycle will be coming up on Average Apple Guy in a few weeks.
