While it still remains in the realm of rumors, it is increasingly looking like Wednesday, September 12th will be the next Apple event. That date falls a week after Labor Day here in the United States (September 3rd) which is a national holiday.
The latest rumor comes from the radio station Europe 1 out of France. The stated indicated that they had the date confirmed by two unnamed sources. This lines up with other rumors that have been floating around the past few weeks and, historically, it fits within the normal timeframe for these Apple Events.
This year’s Apple event is expected to be a monster with product announcements expected across the board. There will be, of course, the new iPhone lineup which is expected to be made up of three iPhones, all three with Face ID like last year’s iPhone X. There are also expected to be updated to the iPad lineup where we could see Face ID on the tablet for the first time. Other rumors suggest there will be an update to Apple AirPods and we could see Series 4 of the Apple Watch.
Oh, and let’s not forget Mac. A new Mac Mini is expected at this event along with a lower cost MacBook. Finally, we will see the official release of iOS 12 and MacOS Mojave at the event too.
Add all of that up and you have an event that is going to be deep in product updates. It could be one of the more excited Apple events over some these past few years.
Regardless if the September 12th date holds, you can almost certainly expect this even to be held in the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple campus in Cupertino.
